ever ours fall floral shoot

As this late summer heat finally starts to break, I find myself aching for all things fall. I long for layers, scarves, cider and the burnt orange and red colors that line my commute into work each morning.There is just something intoxicating about the precious few weeks of Autumn, especially in Michigan.

Megan, owner of Ever Ours Events was the creative vision behind this vintage floral shoot that brought a new twist to the fall wedding theme. She has such amazing perspective, so teaming up with her was a dream. We focused on fall fruit as our inspiration for this shoot, especially figs. Their color, both inside and out are unique and they add such beautiful layers to the fall color palette. (And as a plus, they are amazing when wrapped in bacon.)

The flowers were to die for. The stunning café au lait dahlias and chablis spray roses brought warmth and romance. The blush pinks were complimented by the plum hues in the clematis, peonies and grevillea foliage. For added texture, Megan used crab apples and scabiosa pods.

We also included french pastries from Cannelle Patisserie on our dessert table and created a whiskey sour fizz as our signature cocktail.
